TACo (f.k.a. NuCypher) is hiring a Developer Relations Lead to lead the process of (1) educating would-be adopters, (2) onboarding development teams, and (3) successfully integrating the taco-web API into their trust-minimized applications.
About TACo
TACo is the world’s first decentralized access control plugin & API, relevant to virtually all Web3 app/stacks that handle non-public data. TACo:
- launched on Mainnet in January 2024
- is running on over 131 nodes
- is generating revenue from diverse use cases, and is partnered with web3 infrastructure layers
- unlike competitors, has been end-to-end decentralized and permissionless from genesis
Our mission is to rid popular tools, services and applications from corporate/state surveillance, enable true sovereignty over one’s data, and permanently protect the right to private communication & data sharing. If you’re a good fit – and genuinely passionate about this mission – send your resume, Github profile and/or any OSS projects you’ve worked on to [email protected]. No recruiters, please.

This includes interfacing and co-creating with teams from a wide range of domains, including decentralized AI/agentic RAG, connected vehicles, outsourced computation, key recovery, decentralized storage, social platforms, journalism & activism, media/DRM, community modules, and other cryptographic primitives
- Work closely with leadership on go-to-market strategy, marketing/outreach, partnerships, customer conversion and retention.
- Help developers build successful proof-of-concepts on testnet, then progress to in-production integrations – with their own paid-for mainnet DKG initialization & cohort of TACo nodes.
- Lead developer engagement and guidance, with domain-specific reference implementations & prototypes, ecosystem/partner compatibility integrations, developer-facing tutorials, and general technical support.
- Help aggregate, research and interpret developer feedback & requirements, so that extensions/modifications can be triaged (alongside the core developer team) and entered into the product backlog.
- Help shape new product lines and upstream R&D into powerful new features, leveraging a deep understanding of customer needs.
- Along with the Project Lead and Head of BD, build relationships with technical leaders from target projects/teams/applications in and beyond Web3.
Key competencies & experience:
- 2+ years software development experience, ideally focused on Typescript + Javascript.
